CTF (short for Capture the Flag) is computer security oriented competition in which solving various of challenges ranging from cryptography, steganography, web vulnerabilities, reverse-engineering, network scanning and sniffing, programming and protocol analysis give participants certain score.<br> <br> CTF contests are usually designed to serve as an educational exercise to give participants experience in securing a machine, as well as conducting and reacting to the sort of attacks found in the real world.
