Irini S. Reljin received the B.Sc., M.Sc. and the Ph.D. degrees from the University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia, all at the School of Electrical Engineering, major Telecommunications, being a full professor there. She is a Senior Member of the IEEE, member of the SMPTE (Society of Motion Pictures and Television Engineers) and several other telecommunication societies. Her main interest is in the field of telecommunications and signal/image/video processing, including the use of fractal and multifractal analysis. She has authored several textbooks and book chapters and more than 350 papers. As a professor, she has been advisor for over 200s PhD, Master and Diploma Theses. She has been Lead Guest Editor for special issue of Wiley – Hindawi scientific journal Complexity. She has been responsible for developing the Terrestrial Broadcasting Digital Switchover Strategy in the Republic of Serbia, as well as for technical issues regarding the digital switchover project, including the digital dividend planning and several strategies regarding the electronic communications.

    This panel will discuss challenges around the adoption of IoT and the role that government can play in helping to achieve the economic potential of IoT and reduce the risks associated with this new technology. Open Trust Alliance is an Internet Society initiative offering various Policy Frameworks to guide actors on how to enhance online trust. We'll discuss how to protect parts of Internet infrastructure and if there is a role for DNS in the future IoT world.
